Arrival and Getting Around

Vilnius can be easily reached by plane, train, or bus. Below you will find information on how to reach the accommodation from the main arrival points in the city.

ACCOMMODATION

Downtown Forest Hostel is located in the picturesque Užupis district, close to the city centre of Vilnius. Despite its central location, the hostel is set in a forested area, offering a calm, nature-like atmosphere.

ARRIVING FROM VILNIUS AIRPORT

There is a special train between the Airport and the Railway Station. The train timetable is available here.

A bus stop is situated just outside the airport. Buses No. 1, 2 and 3G go to the train/bus station and bus No. 88 goes to the city centre. Bus timetable can be found at Vilnius Routes and Timetables.

The Vilnius Airport approved taxi stand can be found in front of the airport’s arrivals terminal. All taxis accept cash and credit cards.

From Vilnius Railway Station or the city centre, Downtown Forest Hostel can be reached on foot, by public transport or taxi.

ARRIVING FROM VILNIUS RAILWAY STATION / VILNIUS BUS STATION

Vilnius Railway Station and Bus Station are located near the Old Town of Vilnius. It is only a 25 minute walk to Downtown Forest Hostel.

Alternatively, take the bus No. 13, 34, or 74 to Subačiaus St., then walk 4 minutes to the hostel, or bus No. 31 or 89 to Gervėčių St., followed by a 10-minute walk.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Bus and trolleybus timetables can be found here. Routes and tickets are available in apps ‘Trafi‘ (minimum purchase of €5/transaction) and ‘m.Ticket‘.

Additionally, tickets can be purchased on board using a contactless payment card. Tap your card on the validator to purchase a 60-minute ticket for €1.25. The ticket is activated automatically.
